River Plate VS Estudiantes de la Plata

I was looking forward to an exciting match today, but all I got was a relatively boring match between both sides. Fromthe start, I was eager to see how the Estudiantes fans would receive Simeone and nothing really surprised me. I thought they would applause the man who brought them a title but he got mostly boos and jeers from the crowd. “Oh well”, I thought, “I want to see their faces when River scores”. Yeah, that didn’t happen.

During the whole match, Estudiantes did have the upper hand but River had a few counter attacks that could have been goals. The most clear opportunity was when Abreu had a wide open shot and a clear goal, but he shot a nasty left shot that left a sour taste in the Millonarios mouths. Ortega was River’s best player, creating a lot of passes and chances for the team to advance but it just wasn’t the time. Gerlo was HUGE in the defense and played an excellent match. I always enjoy his determination to win the ball. Abreu and Falco played equal, doing hardly nothing but having a little presence. Cabral got expelled, and stupidly might I add. Why did Simeone recommend this guy?

All in all, the match was alright but it could have been won. River should use this game as a warm up against Universidad Catolica on Wednesday for the Copa Libertadores.

hello
my name is lautaro ?’

LOL… J’aime lautaro means: I love lautaro. Perhaps you should have said: Je m’appelle Lautaro lol.

Anyway, the match was horrible… and you know what? I’m fed up with River’s performances away. At the Monumental, we play OK, but away from home, it’s an eyesore! It’s time we won matches away from home.

I agree Emilliano…

River HAS to win away games… I remember when River used to be a feared team, wherever they went. Now, nobody is scared to play the Millos, especially from last year’s performances against all the promoted teams.

Lets see what happens tonight…

ofcors!!!
